At Caraway, we believe great cooking starts with responsibly sourced materials. Our cookware is designed and crafted in partnership with factories that meet our high standards for quality, ethics, and environmental impact. We source materials primarily from North America and Europe to ensure traceability and reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Material Standards
We use non-toxic, mineral-based coatings instead of traditional nonstick chemicals. Our aluminum cores are made from recycled content, and our handles are crafted from sustainably sourced beechwood, FSC-certified where possible. Every component is chosen for durability and safety.
Ceramic Nonstick Coating
Our ceramic coating is derived from sand-derived silicone, free of PTFE, PFOA, and other PFAS compounds. This means no harmful fumes at high heat and no toxic leaching into your food.
Recycled Aluminum
The aluminum body is made from 85% recycled material, sourced from post-industrial scrap. This reduces energy use by 95% compared to virgin aluminum production.
Our Factory Partnerships
We work directly with factories in China and Portugal that undergo rigorous social and environmental audits. All facilities are ISO 14001 certified, and we require fair labor practices, safe working conditions, and zero-waste manufacturing processes.
“Transparency is key. We share our factory locations and audit results so you can cook with confidence.”
